Easy Filet Mignon

This easy filet mignon recipe requires you to pre-heat your oven first while adding salt and black pepper to both sides of the filet mignon. It is recommended to use a timer as things happen fast here. The key is to add the olive oil in high heat and let the filet cook for 4 minutes on both sides. Do not leave the filets to rest in your sauté pan, or they will overcook. Serve immediately.
 

Ingredients
6-8 ounces
filet mignon
1 tbsp.
olive oil
salt
freshly ground black pepper
Directions
1. Pre-heat your oven to 425 degrees.
2. Season both sides of the filet mignon with salt and black pepper.
3. Heat an oven-proof stainless steel pan over medium-high heat.
4. Add the olive oil in high heat and then add the filets and let them cook for 4 minutes on both sides.
5. Right after place the skillet in the oven for 5-8 minutes.
6. Remove the sauté pan from your oven and transfer the filets to a plate.
7. Serve immediately.
